Purchase for Fire Station 1 of Cabinets from Riverton Cabinet Company in the Amount of $35,194.00 and the Installation of Cabinets for Fire Station 1 from Heintz Construction Inc. in the Amount of $32,450.00 for a Total Amount of $67,644.00

BACKGROUND:
The City of Joliet owns and maintains nine (9) Fire Stations. Fire Station 1 is in need of new kitchen cabinets. On December 16, 2025, the City budget was approved by City Council. The funding for the purchase and installation of new cabinets for Fire Station 1 was approved in the 2026 budget.
This item was reviewed at the Public Safety Committee meeting held April 7,2026, and recommended to the full Council for approval.
CONCLUSION:
Three (3) supply proposals were received for this cabinet and countertop replacement. The proposals are as follows:

Three (3) labor proposals were received for this cabinet and countertop replacement. The proposals are as follows:

Riverton Cabinet Company submitted the lowest supply quote at $35,194.00, and Heintz Construction Inc. submitted the lowest labor quote in the amount of $32,450.00.
Section 2-438 of the City of Joliet Code of Ordinances states that purchases over $25,000.00 may be awarded without written specifications or bidding under certain circumstances.
