Approval of Purchase of Six (6) Vehicles from Ron Tirapelli Ford in the Amount of $288,318.00

BACKGROUND:
The 2026 City Budget provides for the purchase of replacement vehicles for several departments.
The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Prices were publicly solicited, and requests were sent to nine (9) vendors for the units in question. Two (2) vendors provided quotes to supply the vehicles, with the exception of the Ford Maverick XLT models, which received only one (1) bid. Additional upfit of the vehicles will be completed in-house.
Results are shown below:
F550 Cab-Chassis XL for JFD use:

* $66,071.00 - Rod Baker Ford
F350 Pick-Up XL for JFD use:
* $117,024.00 (2 units at $58,541.00 each) - Ron Tirapelli Ford
* $118,268.00 (2 units at $59,134.00 each) - Rod Baker Ford
Ford Ranger XLT for Public Works use:
* $38,692.00 - Ron Tirapelli Ford
* $40,041.00 - Rod Baker Ford
Ford Maverick XLT (2) for Community Service use:
* $67,314.00 - (2 units at $33,657.00 each)
Sufficient funding exists in the Vehicle Replacement Fund / PW (Org 30190000, Object 557500, $38,692.00), Vehicle Replacement Fund / CED (Org 30120000, Object 557500, $67,314.00), and Capital Improvements / JFD (Org 30070020, Object 557500; $182,312.00) for these purchases.
Section 2-438 of the City of Joliet Code of Ordinances states that purchases whose estimated cost is in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00) may be awarded without written specifications or bidding under certain circumstances. One (1) of these circumstances apply:
(f) Purchases when authorized by a concurring vote of two-thirds (2/3) of the Mayor and City Council;
