Resolution Appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds for the 2021 Roadways Resurfacing Contract B - MFT Sect. No. 21-00541-00-RS in the amount of $2,413,582.69

BACKGROUND:
The 2021 Roadways Resurfacing Contract B includes resurfacing projects on various streets throughout the City and is funded by Motor Fuel Tax Funds. The Public Service Committee will review this matter.
CONCLUSION:
Funding for this project will come from Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Funds. Since Motor Fuel Tax Funds are used for this project, the State of Illinois requires the Mayor and City Council to approve a MFT Resolution. Please find attached a Motor Fuel Tax Resolution appropriating $2,413,582.69 for the 2021 Roadway Resurfacing Project B.

Based on the above, it is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the MFT resolution appropriating Motor Fuel Tax Funds.
