Ordinance Amending the Numbering of the City of Joliet Code of Ordinances (Renumbering Chapter 6 ½ to 7)

BACKGROUND:
The Mayor and City Council recently approved a repeal of the old Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances which dealt with bicycles. There is a Chapter 6 ½ in the Code of Ordinances which deals with assessments. The Code of Ordinances should be organized in a coherent fashion; using whole numbers is a step towards that goal.

It is recommended that the Mayor and City Council approve the proposed amendment to the Code of Ordinances.
