Resolution Approving and Authorizing the Execution of an Amended Real Estate Purchase Contract at 1320 Ada Street

BACKGROUND:
The city currently owns several vacant lots in various areas. There is an ongoing program to divest these lots and return ownership to members of the community. One such lot is 1320 Ada Street.
The proposed purchaser, Belvin L. McDonald resides at 1318 Ada and wishes to purchase the vacant lot next door in order to maintain it and increase his lot size. The agreed upon price has been negotiated in the amount of $100.00, this is consistent with comparable sales in the area. The lot is zoned R-2 single family, as are all of the surrounding lots.
RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that a Resolution approving and authorizing the execution of an amended real estate purchase contract of the vacant lot at 1320 Ada Street be approved.
