An Ordinance Authorizing an Amendment to the Annual Budget of the City of Joliet for the 2024 Fiscal Year (2023 projects Funded in 2024)

BACKGROUND:
The City of Joliet adopted the 2024 Budget on November 21, 2023. During the budget process, there are projects and capital purchases that span multiple fiscal years. When this occurs, staff uses its best efforts to estimate how much will be spent in each year. This amendment is to move unspent funds for specific projects/purchases from the 2023 fiscal year to the 2024 fiscal year budget. Combining all of the projects into one ordinance eliminates the need for individual amendments throughout the year.
The Finance Committee will be reviewing this item at their March 19th meeting.
